This edition of anatomy plates is Burt commemorative plate to the cultural figures of his puberty years. These was from Payne’s first exhibit with Track 16 Gallery in 1994. As put by Los Angeles art critic Doug Harvey, “Unjustly overlooked by the art establishment, Burt Payne 3 puts a white-trash pop-cultural spin on the L.A. school of awkwardly translated everyday objects”
